Alone

We must become so alone, so utterly alone, that we withdraw into our innermost self.

It is a way of bitter suffering.

But when our solitude is overcome, we are no longer alone, for we find that our innermost self is the spirit, that it is God, the indivisible.
And suddenly we find ourselves in the midst of the world, yet undisturbed by its multiplicity,
for in our innermost soul we know ourselves to be one with all being.

Wise rain

Rain falls upon my head
The dog wants to go home

Thoughts come and go
Sensations come and go

Question comes:
Is there a different sensation
in me
between the words:
A wise woman
A wise man?

Being still
waiting
the answer comes:
Yes, there is

Home again
smile upon my wet face
gratitude for
an answer
that can be questioned
again the circle is continuing
deeper, deeper,
in ever widening circles
until …

Longing

The longing to return to the Origin
Is Origin calling you
and expresses Itself as:
“I long to return to my Origin”

The longing to return to Source
is Source calling you
and expresses Itself as:
“I long to return to Source”

The longing to return to your True Nature
is True Nature calling you
and expresses Itself as:
“I long to return to my True Nature”

The longing for Oneness
is Oneness calling you
and expresses Itself as:
“I long  for Oneness”

The longing for Love
is Love calling you
and expresses Itself as:”
“I long for Love”

The Love
with which you love
is Love
In the form of love …

Hand

Hand

When we take the hand
of another human being
and feed her when she is hungry
comfort him when he is sad

When we take the hand
of another human being
and pray with her the prayers
hold him in our arms

When we take the hand
of ourselves
and love the hand that holds us
and feel equality caress us

We know the hand
we know the need
we know the prayer
we know it all …

New Year’s Eve

When ‘wanting’ becomes Being
When ‘resisting’ becomes Peace

When ‘expecting’ becomes Surrender
When ‘knowing’ becomes Wisdom

When ‘judging’ becomes Watching
When ‘thinking’ becomes Stillness

Then you know
Grace has found you
and brought you
Home …

Space

Space

The space
where I find home
I share with
dogs, a cat, the birds,
the insects and the trees,
the mice and all the hedgehocks
the plants and what’s unseen
beneath the surface

This space
does not belong to me alone
No borders for the mice
or traffic rules for birds
We share this space
and find our homes in it

I share the space
with humans
who feel that they are lost

It’s good to know
that home
is only
space …
